It's a natural part of life.
But there's no denying it.
It's sad. It's unfair. You feel broken, you feel empty.
What if? What if? What if you had done more with that person? If you had only been a better friend, a better sister, a better brother, a better mother, a better father, a better anything, you think that somehow things might've turned out just a little bit differently. That maybe their death was a result of you.
You didn't know you'd miss them until it was too late. It's not always the case. But sometimes it is. "Oh, they'll be there."
But what if they're not?
Grieve. You don't want to do it.
Live on. How can you?
God's always there. But is that even true?
I know what's it like to lose something or someone.
It's like they should be there, but suddenly they're not.
Like you turn the corner, expecting them, and they've just disappeared from your life without a single trace.
And, whether you like it or not, life is still happening.
You can still look to the bright side.
You can grieve honestly. They'll always been there for you. You can always look back fondly on your memories with them, the treasures that God has given you.
You can thank God for the time that you had.
And you know that they're in the arms of your loving Savior.
I can feel your hurt,
Even from faraway,
I know that you were pained,
When they died that day.
And though I'm so far,
I'm still there for you,
Just remember that there's
Always God to look to.
Dedicated to one of my best friends.
That's Beautiful, Storyteller. And so true!
