Book review--Alex Rider

OK, so I don't know if you're bored with these, but book reviews are still winning!!! (wow, yeah, I know!!!)

OK, here we go.

Name: Alex Rider Series (note: I am in Scorpia, and have not read Crocodile Tears, Ark Angel, or Snakehead).
Author: Anthony Horowitz
Rating: first ones, 3/4, progressing, 2/3

So, I love spy books. I mean like LOVE. I think they're interesting, and they usually go more fast paced, which is the way I like books (personally). Usually what draws me in is either likable characters or a good story. In the beginning books of this series? Good story. But it struck me at something--I know that Alex went through a lot, but he always seemed grumpy and moody. He could've at least TRIED to be more happy. I think the beginning books are really interesting, and fast-paced. The others kind of go down-hill for me. I'm hoping that they get better because, personally, I feel bad for Alex!!!! In the books he suffers a lot from depression because of what he's seen.

Stormbreaker: Alex Rider is confused. His uncle has died in a car crash, supposedly because he wasn't wearing his seatbelt. But he always wore his.....

Point Blank: Alex's second mission to France......

Skeleton Key: Alex's third mission, working with the CIA....

Eagle Strike: Alex battling a mad guy.....

Scorpia: the one I'm on.

I think that if you were wanting something a little bit more, let's say, happier, then watch the Alex Rider movie--Alex Rider: Operation Stormbreaker. It follows the first book really well and is really good!!! Still, I think that the Alex Rider books are very interesting!!! (remember to ask parents)

Adios, amigos!

Puppies, Handbells, and 1 Random Fact

Hey, ya'll!!!!

So today our puppies got a buyer. Yay!!! Well, kind of. It's kind of sad, but great that they're already being looked at!!! They were looking at our puppy Bree (the third oldest, black with tan and white, girl). But they also liked Baby (all black, youngest, girl). They are good friends of ours. We've been to a camp with them before, so we know that they'd be good owners. :)

Have you guys ever heard of Handbell Choir? I'm apart of one myself, with lots of other fun people around my age. I play the notes D and E, and two other notes (they're sharps and flats, but I haven't played them since the school year, so I've kind of forgotten.......). Hopefully our choir will be starting back up again!!! It's so much fun. I love our teacher. If you've ever seen, heard of, or played in a handbell choir, then you know a few things about it. If you haven't here's a few cool things about handbell choir:
1. You have to wear special gloves. They're either black or white. Mine are black. You have to wear gloves so that when you touch the bells you don't leave fingerprints and ruin the sound of the bell.
2. The bells come in all sizes. The higher up the notes are, the smaller they are. The lower down they are, the bigger they are. Mine are medium, because I have middle D and E.
3. If you've ever played another instrument, like a piano, then you know how the keys go up and down. (if you don't, that's OK. Please just bear with me!). With the bells, each bell is a different note, so usually several bells are playing at one time.
4. Bell music is the same as, say, piano music, but as the player of the bells you have to watch for your note. There might be times when you only play a few notes for a song. (For me, that's usually My Grandfather's Clock).
5. Sometimes it's very hard for people who can't read notes to play. But it can be pretty easy if you color-code your notes. (thankfully, I can read music).
6. Bells are VERY expensive. They are sold in octaves (eight notes), and can be very big. I'm not exactly sure how big ours is, but it's pretty big! We have lots of members. =D
7. Here are some pictures of a handbell:
Pretty cool, huh? The last picture shows the inside of the bell.

Hey, if you'd like to learn more, just comment!!

Random fact about me: I had reading glasses when I was younger.

Eyes

Eyes.

You can tell a lot about a person by their eyes. (personally, I think this person looks sad and haunted, like they have no hope). It's said that the eyes are the window to the soul. You can tell a lot about a person just by seeing their eyes, by seeing the emotions that try to hide everywhere else but fail to hide there. What are they feeling?

Tears. Tears come from eyes.

Sadness. You can just see it, coming from within.

Happiness. It lights up the eyes.

They all come from eyes. And more. What's coming from your eyes?

Some more stuff =D

You guys ever been to a water park? Yeah? If you have, you know just how much fun it is!!! Yesterday I was at a water park. There were slides and different pools and all this other fun stuff. Our group played volleyball together, too. It was lots of great fun!!! We used a beachball, though. Still lots of fun!!! =D

I made up a song. Maybe I'll post it soon...... maybe not......

OK, so this is the weirdest thing ever. Please click this link here. It will lead to a wiki article. You're in the right place!! Which side of your brain are you in??

Bye!!

Storyteller aka Magoomie

I found out that my name in Japanese is Magoomie so, um, sometimes I think I might sign like this:

Or somethin' like that. ;)

I'm back!

Hey, ya'll!!!! I'm back!!!!!

First of all--thanks so much, Otter Days, for filling in for me!!! That was so great!! So, the question is--where on earth did I go? I'll give ya a hint--somewhere great and with some really great people!!!! We traveled with some great friends of ours to a really beautiful place in somewhere where you'll probably never visit. (maybe). We had two cars--the Man Van and the Firetruck. Which one was I in? You'll have to guess. ;) We got an awesome spider toy and a cat mouse that we used to play a prank (haha it was pretty funny, except that they didn't scream) and some cool shirts as mementos of our great trip. And right now our awesome friends are still here playing with the puppies!!!! (they are so cute) right now the puppies are cute and fat and sell-size (which isn't that big........). Just to say, I named the spider Max-Ernest and the mouse Cass (don't get it? Click here). If you want to learn more about my trip, please comment!
