Chapter Whatever in which I get to have a girl leave my house

I hope you haven't gone and forgotten me. *snort*

Yep, it's me!!!! Wyn. I hope you haven't totally missed me. Actually, I do hope that you've totally missed me and that you're so excited that I'm back.

.....You are excited, aren't you?

Where did I leave you guys off at?

Oh, yes, I'd just woken up from my weird dream.

(If ya have no idea what's going on, just click my label--"Wyn".)

I was so disturbed by my dream that the second that it was a reasonable hour, I rushed downstairs and burst into the kitchen.

As hoped, Walt was just starting the dishes. (OK, well I hadn't been hoping for the dishes part. I was just hoping that for some reason he was in there.)

"Walt!" I hissed, staying out of the cook's line of view. "Come here!"

"I can't!" he whispered back.

"Why not?" I cried in exasperation.

Walt seemed to try and be telling me something his his head and the widening of his eyes, but I was seriously not getting it.

He sighed and rolled his eyes and finally hissed, "I can't because Melorada is here!"

"Who on earth is..." I started, but just at that moment an ugly girl with auburn hair swept into the kitchen. She was dressed in peasant's clothes but acted as if she were dressed as nicely as Ellen always wore.

"Walterrrrrrrrrrrrr!" trilled the girl.

Walt groaned and turned towards the girl. I took the opportunity to duck underneath the huge wooden table so that I wouldn't be seen.

I had enough snooty, arrogant girls to deal with anyways. I didn't need to meet another one.

At that moment, I wasn't sure what was more annoying--to have somebody who was perfectly and horribly ugly and who thought they were the most beautiful person on the entire planet, or a drop-dead love-on-first-sight-because-she's-like-just-so-gorgeous gorgeous girl who absolutely knows it.

I was thinking maybe the ugly one, but I wasn't so sure.

"Walt!" the girl, Melorada, wrapped her arms around Walt's waist. Uck. It made me want to gag or puke or something.

"Um, uh, hi," gasped Walt, barely being able to breathe. I was sure he was going to pass out any second.

I had to think of something to save Walt. Since I'd been so mean to him before, I at least had to PROVE that I really was sorry. And I was pretty sure that saving his guts was a good reason for me to be sorry.

I looked around for an idea, and then it came for me. I slithered on my stomach out the door and stood up, brushing off the dirt on my dress and straightening my hair with my fingers.

I took a deep breath and strode into the room, back straight, head held high. The only way that I kept from totally gagging and running out of the room was thinking about how I used to swing in the barn. OK, I was going to be all right.

"Girl!" I thundered towards Melorada.

"Your majesty!" Melorada fell flat on her face, her arms out in front of her as if she were worshiping me. "I am your humble servant! Please take me as your maid to help you every day!"

I gave her my best look of contempt. "I already have a maid." Well, HAD. I'd made her quit because she hated me so much. "What insolence! To demand a job from me! You should leave this instant!"

"Y-y-yes, your highness," she stuttered, and then ran for her life out of the room.

"That was awesome!" cried Walt. He smiled. "Thanks."

I just grinned.
