Time and again I try it, and yet it always seems to fail...

It really is true.

I try to do a story contest, but then nobody ever posts a story.

Sure, sometimes they might say "oh, way cool! I'll enter!"

But then I only have like one entry.

(Thank you, my faithful Piano Bookworm.)

But I suppose I could try again...

I haven't tried one in a really long time.

But now I have 59 followers, so I have a pretty good chance at least 2 entries, right?

Guys?

Right?

OK.... *deep breath* If you can handle it....

Rules:
Enter a short story. Story can be on any topic not gruesome or gross. No bad words. Make it short enough so that it's easy to read in one sitting.
Either put it in the comments with this post or do it on your blog with a link back to here.
