Pernisia
“Sorry I didn’t know what else to do and…. well this has been the most confusing abnormal day in my whole life.” I bit my lip and glanced at the door. “You can’t leave that way can you?” she shook her head. “Well I suppose you probably want to go back to… Athranem?”
“Can’t.” She replied simply. “It’s not as simple as all that. I can’t always just make a door and leave and I can’t control where I’ll end up either.”
“Oh, Um…Well then what do we do?” The girl Rowan glanced around the room.
“Stay here unless you have somewhere better we can go…someplace that’ll stir up emotions.” I stared at her funny.
“Well…I guess I could take you to the Critania Forest it’s in Brighten Park…but you’ll need a change of clothes for the ride over.” I rushed over to my dresser and pulled out a pair of jeans and another T-shirt then I went over to my closet and pulled out my least smelly pair of tennis shoes. “You’re about my size…You can keep your clothes in here I’ll meet you out front…Oh, and please try not to let anybody see you I’d hate to explain this.” I handed her the clothes she eyed them critically and then accepted them. I smiled. “Maybe when we get you back to…your world you’ll let me wear a pair of your clothes say a deep purple tunic with tan leggings?.” She raised an eyebrow and then smiled as well.
“Maybe.”
Rowan
The clothes she handed me were strange. These things that she called "jeans" were weird feeling, dark blue, and almost as tight as my leggings. The thing she called a "T-shirt" was equally strange. It was a bright pink--very bad for hunting, I noted--and tighter than I liked. Not only that, but when I was in the bathroom she threw something at me called a "cami" (which I had no idea what it was) and tried to explain how to put everything on.
Finally, I was ready, and I opened the door. After which Pernisia stuck these things called "socks" and "sneakers" on my feet and sat me down on this stool in the bathroom. She threw open a drawer and rummaged through it for a really long time. Finally, she came out with things called "bobby pins", "hairbrush", and "ponytail".
"What on earth are you doing?!" I demanded, wiggling as she pulled viciously on my hair.
"Your hair is a mess!" she declared. "So that's why I'm doing something about it. If you're going to be camped out here for however long, you've at least got to look like you some what belong in my world. Now, come on. Hold still."
I pushed her away, and she screamed as if I'd bunched her.
"That hurt!" I cried.
"Yours hurt worse!" she declared.
"Pernisia?" the voice drifted up the stairs. "Pernisia, are you OK?! Why'd you scream?!"
"Oh no." Pernisia's eyes were big. She glanced at me. "It's Caleb. Quick! Hide under my bed again!"
She pulled me into her room and slammed the door. Obviously it was up to me to get under the bed, so I hurried under the bed. The second I did, the door flew open and another pair of sneakers that I hadn't seen before hurried in.
"I bet the person's in here!" declared the boy's voice.
(Oh, great.)
"Please, Caleb!" Pernisia begged. "I'm fine, really!"
"Gotcha!"
Somebody grabbed my leg.
