You can change...

You really can. You can change how you look. How you act. How you think. It seems impossible. You want to tell yourself that it's impossible. But it's not.

I can't change.
I want to change.
But I can't.
I'm stuck.
I can't change.
I try to.
But I can't.
I'm stuck.

You can change some things by yourself--like how you look. But there's other things that you just can't change.

And for that change? You need Someone Else. You need God. Without God, you're hopeless. I know this from personal experience. I've tried to be "good" for an entire day, but it just doesn't work that way.

It's got to be a process, where God's in the middle of it. You've got to push through things. You CAN change the way that you think, and you CAN change the way that you are.

Like I'm naturally more like a lazy and sarcastic person. But I can change that. I know that I CAN push through my laziness, make me do things, start good habits... I CAN do it, because I know that that's the kind of person that God wants me to be. But it's got to be God driving that. And I know that it's not always nice to be sarcastic. I mean, not everything's meant to be "funny" or a "joke". There's lots of serious things, things where sarcasm needs to be left out. And I need to learn that.

As you continue to be who God wants you to be, getting rid of laziness, starting good habits, spending time with God in His Word and in prayer for yourself and others, you'll find yourself thinking differently, too. Suddenly you realize that the world's not all about you. There's others here, too. How can you bless them?

A song that I think really helps with this is the song below.

Don't get stuck in your own little world.

Reach out for Christ!!

God bless you all.

And ask yourself--how I can break out of my shell, out of my laziness, out of my bad habits, and bless someone today?
